The boot program takes some parameters from rom, and makes a couple of
other things, yes. It would be possible to write code to directly
load the kernel and start executing but that would make this kernel
different to a normally booted kernel. Also; there are better to first
load the boot program to be able to select kernel to load.
It is not so difficult to write standalone routines for qe also,
I may do this when I get my MVII back in business.
