Hello mailing-list,

I just succeeded installing NetBSD 1.2 on a MicroVAX II
(RD-54, TK50, Network) and was trying to write the
distribution files to tape as a backup,
but I get many error messages (mainly "sync errors" 
and/or "data errors"). Booting from this device
was possible without any problems. So, is the
tape drive defect anyway, or will I have to 
compile a new kernel, or is there another solution?
