Hello Group,
I replied to the sender but forgot to copy the list. An important and
somewhat esoteric point. There is a little known config bit on some
SCSI disks that will bite you with VMS 5.5.x (+??). It has to do with
write pre-allocation. I have a Quantum LPS-340 that had this turned on
and VMS absolutely went NUTS! I had to get a utility that turned this
bit off in the drive itself. Other drives too may have this turned
on.
