After kicking around the MicroVAX most of the night and getting out the
9mm pistol and talking of taking it to the range to put it out of my
misery (to scare it into submission), this is what I discovered.

For those of you you are having problems getting NetBSD to load on RD53 
hard disks, here's the trick (well, it worked for me, you milage may vary).

The problem is in the 'copy' program, more specific (I think) the part
that reads the file from tape.

If you generated your tapes from a VMS system, when prompted for
"device to read from?" enter "tms(0,0,0)" and not "tms(0,0,1)" as shown
in the program text.

I this worked for me on three different RD53 hard disks and and my
SCSI hard disks.

I don't know if anyone has documented this yet, but I think that it should
make it into the "copy" documentation if it is not already.  (I didn't see 
it in their, but that dosen't mean it's not their)
