I am in a similar situation. I have a VAXstation 3100 M76 SPX
unit with the following:
32 MB memory
1 x RX23 1440 KB floppy
2 x RZ24 209 MB fixed drives
SPX - accelerated color video feature
I have no documentation on it, so any information that I have is
derived from 'pure hacking' of sorts. the '40000' memory reading is
hexadecimal: 256 KB memory. ESA0 is the ethernet device. RX33 is the
floppy. I have the RX33 boot image that I retrieved via FTP from
ftp.netbsd.org, I don't remember the path from where I obtained it.
If you could send me via E-mail the documentation for your VS2000, it may
help me in pursuit of using my VS3100 on my home network. From the
monitor (that's where you are I assume), try a 'show
dev'. Use the VMS/VMB device name for the floppy: it may be DKA500:
>>> boot DKA500
This will boot the system from a floppy. If ther is no disk in
the drive, the monitor will return:
54 DEVOFFLINE
84 FAIL
>>>
Simply put, no OS.
