Is the RX50 drive supported *after* NetBSD is installed? I just wanted
to try making RX50 NetBSD boot/miniroot diskettes for others without a
means of creating them. But when I try to dd to the raw floppy device
(/dev/rra2c in this case), I get a bunch of
uda0: unit 2 not configured, blah blah blah
followed by
dd: /dev/rra2c: Input/output error
The light on the floppy does flicker briefly.
I see the following note in the installation README:
[sic]
Supported install media is TK50 tape and RX33/RX50 floppy. If
you do initial installation from floppy then you need a way to load
the rest of the system, like tape or ethernet.
which seems to suggest that the floppy isn't really supported beyond
booting the system.
