hi,

ok. i have hardware ;-)
i don't have docs nor do i currently have time.
the latter might change in about 2-3 month and i'm absolutley
willing to get some sort of 'free' Unix going on my VS3100.

so, where might i get the hardware docs (here in germany,...)?
are they available anywhere on the net in electronic form (i think
some of the new alpha series docs are available)?

i'm thankfull for any pointers (hardware/vax-asm).

ps: is it (technically) possible to bootstrap a VS3100 from a serial
line connected to another unix box (i.e. by faking console monitor
    cmd's by the other box)?
