Hi,
I have been following the port-vax mailing list for sometime now. I am using
NetBSD-current on Intel and SPARC already. I am about to aquire a VAX 11/750
with 8 megs of RAM, ethernet, one 700 MB disk (RA something I think), tapes
( 1600 bpi and a small hp style cartridge thing). I can get full specs, and
will look at the machine this weekend. I am only familar with VMS on vaxen
as all the VAXen at Stellenbosch run VMS. I have access to good VAX technical
knowledge, and would like to know if I could be a vax-port developer, please.
Thanks to Rick, I have ftp'ed the binaries snowwhite. Can these help me get
started? I am a bit worried about the TK50 tape, as I don't know if I can
get a drive for a 11/750. A friend of mine is a member of DECUS here so I am
sure we could wangle something if there is no other way.
Eagerly awaiting a response! :-)
Regards,
Andre' Skarzynski
