I have attached an HP DeskJet 550C to /dev/ttyb and have successfully printed
short text only files. My problem comes when I try to print an image.
Looking at the output, the printer would appear to print a single raster line
before producing a vast quantity of random characters. I feel that this may be a
handshaking problem but I am unsure how to correct this using stty.

Has anyone connected such a printer and if so could you let me know how you are
set up ie. what is in /etc/printcap and what the command "stty </dev/ttya" or
"stty </dev/ttyb" produces depending upon which device your printer is connected
to. You might also include the relevant parts of the output from the "eeprom"
command.

Thanks in advance for any replies
