Subject: Cross compiler binaries much bigger than native binaries !!!

I have successfully compiled a GCC 2.7.2 cross-compiler for Sun3/NetBSD 1.3.2
(--target=m68k-sun3-netbsd1.3.2) which runs under Solaris 2.6 on a Sun Sparc 20.
I have compiled some simple test programs using the cross compiler on the Sparc
20 and the native compiler on the Sun3 machine and the binaries are considerably
smaller (about 1/3 of the size) on the Sun3.

Is there some configuration option that I have missed when building the cross
compiler which has brought this about?

thanks for any reply
