Has anyone here tried replacing the AM7990 PCB LANCE chip with the later
CMOS version, AM79C90? The PDF data sheet that AMD has on its web site says
it's pin-compatible, but there are some differences.

Does anyone know the date codes on the AM7990 that indicate it is revision
'C', and therefore has the LANCE_REVC_BUG (for which there is a kernel
option)? I've sent a query to AMD, but no answer yet...
