There is now a beta release for the sun3 here:

ftp.netbsd.org:/pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-1.3_BETA/sun3

This one is in the format that the release will have
(as opposed to a snapshot a la src/etc).  See below.

The sources on which this was based were from 19971218,
except for the src/distrib stuff which is as of today.
