We're attempting to install NetBSD 1.2 on a Sun 3/280 with several SMD
drives, and the RAMDISK kernel does not appear to have the necessary
driver support.

How difficult is it to compile a new RAMDISK kernel with the proper
drivers, and how good are the xy* drivers? The install notes mention
that the support is of some concern.
