My hard drive occasionally returns a "short read" [under stunos it was usually 
6 out of 10 blocks requested].  NetBSD 1.1 dumps me into db over this, hanging 
the system.  BAD COMPUTER!

Is there any reason not to hack the ncr driver to just syslog the info rather 
than hang the system?  I'm still running 1.1 [any reason to switch my 
production machine??].
