I happened to pullout a 30 MHZ crystall out of a pc board, and got this 
sudden urge to try it on my sun 3/50  at 4:00 am.  Well, it works like a
charm without a heat sink or a cpu fan.  Then I found another old board
with a 48 MHZ chrystall, I plan to try the 48 MHZ chrystall as soon as
I can get to buy some electronics cement to glue a heat sink and cpu fan
on the cpu.
