My 4MB Sun 3/50 has had no problems maintaining a SLIP connection at 38400.
(Call me crazy, but I even NFS mounted the kernel sources over SLIP (the Sun
was null-modem connected to my Amiga 3000) and compiled up a new kernel for
the Sun. 38400 is a tad slow for a kernel compile, but hey, it worked fine :->
