Well, I using Linux to make the boot tape, and Linux doesn't understand 
gunzip ane requires gzip -d instead. I had overlooked the fact that gunzip
didn't execute.  Now that gzip problem is over with I get the following
message:

vaddr:67186E0C, Paddr:0000E0C Type 0, Read, FC 5, Size 1 at 0FEFB1D8

A friend of mine is suggesting that I should make the boot tape under sun
OS.
