Unless i'm mistaken, the sun3 port has _always_ used new config.

However, a while ago (month+, i think), config.new got moved to
'config', with attendant changes in the /sys/ files.

if youre /sys tree still has files.*.newconf files in it, and is
up-to-date, then whatever process you're using to update your sources
isn't deleting files that have been removed from the master sources.
