Could /etc/magic have been trashed?

Actually, in the past I have just copied the amiga binaries into the
FTP area for the sun3, and then provided zupdate to replace those
which need to be different on the sun3.
The different files are: (I hope this is all of them 8^)
bin/ps
sbin/dmesg
sbin/savecore
usr/sbin/kvm_mkdb
usr/lib/libkvm.a
usr/lib/libkvm.so.4.0
usr/lib/libkvm_p.a
usr/lib/libkvm_pic.a
usr/bin/make
usr/bin/gdb
