I should have thought to ask before:  Which SCSI controller is it?
The current "si" driver only supports the "SCSI-3" controller.
The older SCSI-2 controller could appear at the same address.
SunOS reports the SCSI-3 board as "si" (not "sc").

The probe should be pickier about which it recognizes...
