Along your thought that there may be problems with the le driver,
I tried copying some large files, NFS->NFS, util cmp said they
differed (didn't take long) upon examination, 8k+4 bytes into
the file is octets 2-5 of the ether address, followed by a
repeating pattern (32 byte period) which (amongst other, which
I don't recogize) contains the ether address (8:0:20:0:61:A2),
the corruption lasts for 8k, then the file resumes, corruption
and file are intermixed throughout the rest of the file, always
on multiples of 8k.
