Thank you for this information. For me this was also the case.
With this info I was able to generate a kernel: netbsd.

Then I tried to take the next hurdle.
I stumbled over the fact that I was unable to compile netboot! 

Question: Does anybody has a recipe for compiling netboot?

Also also looked into the newest sources on sun-lamp if these
are any better?

Compilation wasn't possible at all! There were several references
to "vm/vm_statistic.h". Also machdep.c didn't compile.

Question: Did anybody have more success with this version?
