No surprise with the boot process on the SPARC S7-2

Looks like the bootcode is not really soemthing the S7 can grok :

$ telnet localhost 5000
Trying ::1...
telnet: connect to address ::1: Connection refused
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.

Connecting to console "netbsd" in group "netbsd" ....

So that is what I get with https://nycdn.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily/HEAD/20261023050717Z/images/NetBSD-11.99.9-sparc64.iso

I will likely need to loopback mount that ISO and then pick out some
files and do more than just a trivial "boot cdrom". No surprises.
