Yes, a full rebuild is seen on all hosts, be it NetBSD 9.x or 10.x and all architectures I tried on.
It is just that sparc64 is very slow which makes it unbearable :)
If there're any details pertinent to the shell issue, I'm sure kre@ will be eager to hear about them:)
the shell thing was a tip from alexnia, I never verified myself since it requires substituting the standard shell. I don't know if there are other workarounds to try to use another shell, for example.
