Looks like these fixes were committed years ago, so should have worked
for me as well.
I need to reinstall the latest Solaris CBE anyway and build the latest
GCC. Once I get it all set up, I will try building NetBSD and see what
happens.
Since you seem to be able to build NetBSD on Solaris without any major
issues, this gives me some optimism. May be there is something wrong
with my build environment? I sometimes do bulk builds of NetBSD for all
supported machine architectures, so I can test cross-compiling for my
applications. The SPARC T4-2 is one of the fastest machines I currently
have with 512 GiB of RAM. It can run all NetBSD builds concurrently
without any swapping to disk issues.
