Dunno.  Martin was the last one to fiddle with that code.  Dunno what he 
was trying to do.  Doesn't look right to me.

Probably need to check some firmware property and not install the 
powerfail interrupt handler if the machine isn't wired up correctly.  
Worst case is checking vor the X1 model string.
