re: USIII support now largely working - please test!
BTW: The machine crashed again with:
[SC Status 7fff - OK] Enter #. to return to ALOM.
Fatal Error Reset
CPU 0000.0000.0000.0001 AFSR 0200.0000.0000.0000 JETO
Executing Power On Self Test
so this looks like the USIIIi PCI problem i see as well, which is separate
to the kernel crashes problem you've seen as well. i've tested with hme(4),
cas(4) netroots and esiop(4) disk root, and they've all reset like this, but
with different AFAR values, that tended to indicate that the device that
provides the rootfs (hme, cas or esiop) has caused the problem. the above
0000.07c6.0000.0800 is likely to be somewhere inside your root device.
- can you confirm this is a USIIIi machine, not USIII?
- can you send me "ofctl -p" output offline, and tell me which device you
use for root device?
