I instaled ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily/netbsd-4/200708250002Z on a
U5 and a U2. It worked fine. Then I replaced:
[jkunz@Kriggle sparc64]$ ident locore.s*
locore.s:
     $NetBSD: locore.s,v 1.232.2.1 2007/08/29 15:21:07 liamjfoy Exp $

locore.s.bak:
     $NetBSD: locore.s,v 1.232 2006/10/25 11:56:56 mrg Exp $
by anoncvs, recompiled the kernel, instaled it, reboot and compiled the
kernal again to generate some load. Both machines work flawlessly with
locore.s 1.232.2.1.
