As Matthias pointed out, the host compiler is only used to bootstrap
the NetBSD compiler and other build tools.  The rest of the system is
compiled using the NetBSD in-tree gcc.

NetBSD build machinery has provisions for using a different compiler,
that you can specify using EXTERNAL_TOOLCHAIN variable, but I don't
think anyone tried to use it for anything other than a different
version of gcc.
