Gang,
I've not built -current in almost a year or so. I went to build it on my
U5 (360 MHz, 384MB RAM). The build went fine -- instructions were:
#Build toolchain
./build.sh -O ../obj -T ../tools -U tools
#Build distribution
./build.sh -O ../obj -T ../tools -U distribution
#Build kernel
./build.sh -O ../obj -T ../tools -U kernel=GENERIC
#Install kernel
cd ../obj/sys/arch/sparc64/compile/GENERIC
su
mv /netbsd /netbsd.old
cp netbsd /netbsd
#Reboot
However, when I tried to boot the new kernel I got:
Sun Ultra 5/10 UPA/PCI (UltraSPARC-IIi 360MHz), No Keyboard
OpenBoot 3.31, 384 MB (60 ns) memory installed, Serial #11575621.
Ethernet address 8:0:20:b0:a1:45, Host ID: 80b0a145.
Rebooting with command: boot
Boot device: disk File and args:
NetBSD IEEE 1275 Bootblock

sparc64_init: bmagic=0, bi=0xfeffe6d0
No bootinfo information.
This kernel requires NetBSD boot loader.
panic: sparc64_init.
Trap 1
I assume I'm doing something stupid. Help!?
