also:

probe-ide    only shows the ide disk on the one that won't
boot cdrom. no cdrom.



but

probe-ide
on the other shows it's disk and then hangs.


probe-scsi on first gives nothing.

on second tells me it doesn't want to do it unless i reset-all
which i do but it still doesn't want to do it.


any commands for detecting hardware that work?:)
