I was expecting a PROM/BIOS issue :(

It does not do better wether I set AGP|PCI as the primary VGA Card
(expect, with AGP on, the PC boots ;) - the card is recognized even by
"XFree86 -configure" but nothing shows up.

I have other (PC) PCI cards that I can try :)
