They're good for up to ATA/33 or UDMA2. Anything faster requires 80 pin
cables. Since the U5/U10's onboard IDE only supports PIO4 anyway there's
really no point in using 80 pin cables. Swapping cables around is always
a good idea though, bad ones can cause all sorts of trouble including
the error described above.
