The problem that you're having is not restricted to sparc64. Search on the
mailing lists at www.netbsd.org for mclpl. There has been recent dicussion
on various list.

I use an Ultra 5 for www.rmkhome.com. Running 2.1_STABLE. I haven't seen your
problem, but I'm not running a heavy load.
