Well, I tried to install 2.1, instead updating, but the installer
breaks by writing the disklabel. See previous postings.
Up to now I downloaded from cvs the source of NetBSD 2.1. The patch I
recieved , seems to come from cvs.
The kernel builds without any problem, but after a reboot, I got the
following:

sd0: async, 8-bit transfers, tagged queueing
sd0: sync (50.00ns offset 15), 16-bit (40.000MB/s) transfers, tagged
queueing
esiop0: DMA IRQ: Illegal instruction DMA fifo empty, DSP=0x560
DSA=0xfe102b40: T/L/Q=0/0/0 last msg_in=0x4 status=0xff
esiop0: scsi bus reset
sd0(esiop0:0:0:0): command with tag id 0 reset
sd0(esiop0:0:0:0): command with tag id 1 reset
sd0(esiop0:0:0:0): command with tag id 2 reset

After several of thse message, I got the prompt of gdb
Because I can't get the serial port to work I don't have any output.

I try to apply the patch agains the source of the kernel (syssrc.tgz).
This seems to work. The kernel compile stil runs at this moment.
