Heh ;)
Hmm, the only qlogic SCSI HBA I have sits on an obscure UMAX card in my
S900 box ( a mac-clone based on the PowerMac 9500 design but with
various enhancements ) and is apparently wired in a weird enough way to
confuse the isp driver.
You said the installation went fine but it hangs when it tries to boot
from harddisk? That's certainly odd. What happens when you boot from the
NetBSD CD again? Can you mount the filesystems on the harddisk and get
the network running? This would be enough to try other kernels.

The only difference between INSTALL and GENERIC kernels is a handful of
options to save space and preparations for a RAM disk to run the
installer - drivers, filesystem support and such should be the same.

have fun
Michael
