don't see the last one in my mailbox, so I am sending it again, sorry
if it is a duplicate...

Hi, Hopefully I am sending this to the proper list. I am running
NetBSD 2.0.2 on a Sun Ultra 1 and have applied the firmware patch
from Sun that (at least the way I understood it) Solaris to run in 64
Bit mode.

I just finished compiling the meta-package gnome and when I tried gdm
from the command line I get this error message:

gdm[433]: Failed to start X server several times in a short time
period; disabling display:0

and am returned to the shell prompt

startx works fine and gives me the expected results and from there if
I type gnome-session a typical gnome desktop shows up window by
window (which is kinda funny).

I would like to get gnome (gdm) running at boot time but being a
newbie to netbsd/sparc I am not sure what I need to do. I thought I
may need to run xf86config, but i read in the mailing list archives
that it has no need to exist for Sparc machines.

Any help appreciated.
