Hmm, I didn't test that but it clearly puts the blame on gtk. Do you see
a difference between gtk1 and gtk2? gtk1 works fine here ( I'm typing
this in sylpheed on sparc64 )

It's certainly no endianness problem - my PowerPC boxes don't have it.
Probably just another case of someone assuming that sizeof(long)=3D=3D4.
