No. They won't work right now because we don't (officially) have a
console driver for Radeon-based cards. I have a generic PCI framebuffer
driver that should work with them ( unaccelerated though ), this /may/
be enough to make X work.=20

Almost certainly the answer is no. I never tried an ATI-based card but I
tried the following combinations:

Voodoo3, Matrox Millennium I and II, IMS TT3D with Macintosh firmware
didn't work in my Ultra 10. They didn't work in my PowerStack II ( which
is a PowerPC-based workstation with OpenFirmware ) either, the
Millennium I worked with PC firmware though.

An IBM GXT800P graphics board - works in the PowerStack but neither the
Mac or the Ultra like it.=20

In all cases mentioned above the onboard firmware apparently didn't like
the card's firmware since OF listed them by generic names ( like
pcixx,xx instead of - say - 3Dfx,Voodoo3 or MTRX,Millennium. The
Millennium in the PowerStack is a special case since the firmware seems
to contain enough of a 486 emulator to allow the card's BIOS to do its
work. It did find the IBM board though, which was never intended for
this kind of machines so it /does/ support OF display devices ).

have fun
Michael
