That's 32bit compatibility goo, if you don't really need it and can't updat=
e your sources try compiling without COMPAT_NETBSD32

Absolutely. Change your output-device ( use the eeprom command from NetBSD =
or the OBP prompt ) to 'screen:r1024x768x76 - assuming your monitor does 10=
24x768 at 76Hz, pick something appropriate. The firmware will set up this r=
esolution on next reboot. Make sure you can login via network so you can se=
t it back to 'screen' in case you accidentially set it to something you mon=
itor doesn't like. Having to wipe nvram because of this seems a bit drastic=
 ;)
It may be a good idea to check what output-device is set to before tamperin=
g with it.
