Yes, the X server is told that we can't switch consoles. Michael explained
the reason to me, but I forgot - maybe because not all X server drivers can
handle switching resolution? On ffb that wouldn't be a problem, since we
don't support different console resolutions anyway (which is another thing
we should fix).

You see, there is still enough room for improvements ;-)
