In his blog at blogs.sun.com, Alan Coopersmith recently said that
it is not decided what Sun will release as open source.  There is
a group @ Sun that owns the frame buffer drivers source code.

Maybe if enough people badger him he will forward queries about this
to the relevant people. :-)  See:

My guess is that this is the only chance to legally get at cgfourteen
hardware information.
