personally, i recommend putting your root filesystem on a raid mirror
and use "raidctl -A root raid0".  then the kernel will find and use
the specified raid as root partition, and you won't need a special
kernel config for it.

do this on multiple U10's, including the latest which boots from an
ideflash card.  you can do "single sided" mirrors if you don't want
to waste the space for mirroring... just use raidframe as a naming
scheme for your partitions.
