Sorry to be the messenger, but NetBSD 3.0 will not have working SMP on
sparc64. And neither will 2.1 (of course). This is not cast in concrete
yet, but anything else is highly unlikely.

This is not true. The code is in the tree but noone sent patches to fix the
remaining bugs. Send-pr is your friend.
