Hmm... once I get the money, I might just toss some SATA in that thing,
then. I've been VERY pleased with the 80GB 8MB cache WD SATA 150's running
on this PC... Any SATA cards you'd recommend? (also, what hacks do I need to
boot from them, or should I keep a teeny IDE disk around for the kernel and
loader to reside on?)
i've been having great success with silicon image 3112 based
cards in the sparc64 (less so in macppc tho - the 'skymaster'
3112 card makes OFW in my g4 tower lock up at power on... but
the almost twice as expensive adaptec 3112 based card works
fine...)
i still use the onboard ide with a real disk to boot... i am
planning to replace that with a flash+ide frob tho.
