This is a message from syslogd. The default syslogd.conf sends

  *.err;kern.*;auth.notice;authpriv.none;mail.crit 

to the console, and 

 *.emerg 

to any user. You could try commenting out those two lines and the reload
syslogd (/etc/rc.d/syslogd reload).
