Just curious - you do know about powerd(8)?
You should probably add "powerd=YES" to /etc/rc.conf. This will give you
a much cleaner shutdown.

Manuel: does this make a difference? The shutdown happens from the sysmon
thread which calls cpu_reboot(RB_POWERDOWN, NULL); when there is no userland
daemon listening.
