I'm attempting to install netbsd on a sparc 5 with little success. I've tried
the sparc floppies, the sparc CD, and the sparc64 floppies. the different
"boot" statements (in the PROM) get different results, but none work. The
help for the PROM lists "boot floppy". however, "boot floppy" gets "Can't
open boot device." The floppy does work, however, because when I boot
Solaris the floppy is mounted.

Any suggestions?

TIA,

  | How about some questions about sparc for the new maintainers? :) Will my
  | ultra 5 run sparc64, or just sparc? Why do neither the iso nor the
floppies
  | boot on my sparc 5? I've followed the docs and tried all three of the
boot
  | commands (PROM boot commands for both the floppy and the cd). The floppy
  | boot almost works, but gives a message that it can't find the boot file
(but
  | doesn't give me the name that it can't find).
  |
  | TIA,
