There was already a fix. The ISO image:

ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/iso/1.6/sparc64cd.iso

Fixed on October 19. I booted and installed on an Ultra 5 with this image
and also booted it on a Ultra 1 without any problems.
