Sorry if I sound new.. it's because I'm new to BSD.

I downloaded the kernel sources and followed the directions to build my own
kernel.

I copied the GENERIC to my own config file.  Added the "ex* at pci?" similar
to the entries in the GENERIC32 file.

I did the make depend, and make.

Copied my existing kernel, and moved the new one in place.  Rebooted and the
kernel errors with the following:
loadfile: reading header
unknown executable format
Program Terminated.

This is on an Ultra 5...
